The Devil in the World Today
I’m sure that most of you have seen the video circulating of a man, seemingly on drugs or afflicted by demonic possession, attacking a tabernacle while writhing and screaming. This video is a grizzly reminder of how the devil uses humans to do his work in the world.
Many people are saying that this man was either on drugs or possessed, but I don’t think it was one or the other. The use of drugs is one of the many things that opens the door for demons to attach themselves to you. If this man was on drugs, then without a doubt there was a demon there too.
Evil needs an invitation to enter your home and your life. Once it has been invited, it won’t leave as easily. This is why addiction exists. Have you noticed that you only become painfully addicted to things that are bad for you and your soul? For example, drugs and pornography. Anyone who has tried to break their addiction to these things goes through a painful process that makes them feel despair and draws them back to the vice.
That’s the demon.
A demon isn’t going to let you go once it has you. Every vice you have becomes like an addiction, and the longer you cater to it, the stronger the hold it has on you becomes and the harder it is to break the “habit”.
Throughout history the devil has used humans to do his bidding. From using Eve to trick Adam into disobeying God by eating the apple, to human sacrifice and genocide, especially of innocent children. Which we still see today through abortion.
And now evil doesn’t even try to hide itself anymore. We see satanists stealing consecrated hosts to desecrate, we see men and women confused about their gender and worse confusing children about theirs, we see sex before marriage not only becoming mainstream but something to celebrate and to mock those who refuse to take part.
Vices are overcome by virtue, by prayer. God has given us the means to overcome our temptation, and we have the saints in heaven to help us through it.
Never hesitate to call on them for help.
